About
Nathan Haug (how-g) is a designer and developer who loves to work with web technologies. He is currently a full time Lullabot, working to improve the Drupal platform and the web community as a whole. Within the projects Nate does, he finds particular interest in improving site usability. The target areas he works to improve are reducing tedious workflows, improving media handling, and adding visual information through icons or media. He's a big fan of the use of jQuery, writing the Drag and Drop sorts and the AHAH framework in Drupal 6.
Nathan is a frequent contributor (code, documentation, and support) to open-source projects including the Singapore image gallery, Drupal Content Management System, and others. His favorite development environment is LAMP (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP) systems but usually writes his code using his trusty Apple MacBook. If you were to walk in to Nate's studio and inspect his computer you'd probably find Photoshop, Eclipse, BBEdit, CocoaMySQL, and Flash all launched with four projects open in each. iTunes would be happily playing away to the likes of Ben Folds, U2, and Counting Crows.
The flip side of Nate's brain teems with drawings, gouache, and prints. He enjoys creating detail-oriented artwork combining skill and theme. For example of his traditional work check out the "Studio" section of his portfolio.
